Where We Live and Play

Benzonia Township is located seven miles from the harbor-town of Frankfort and Lake Michigan. Drive around the shore of Crystal Lake to visit Point Betsie Lighthouse on the shores of Lake Michigan. This lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country.

The Betsie River meanders through Benzonia Township offering canoeing and great fishing. Big and Little Platte Lakes have shoreline in Benzonia Township as well. Great recreational waterways to visit.

Memorial Park, located on South Street and Grace Roads in Benzonia Township, offers ball fields for practice and games, soccer fields, a large picnic area with playground, and a dog park for our furry friends. This 30-acre park has become very popular during our spring, summer and fall seasons. Please make reservations for large groups. WHILE WE CURRENTLY DON’T CHARGE FOR USE OF THE PARK, WE GLADLY ACCEPT DONATIONS FOR YOUR LARGE GROUPS. See here for more about Memorial Park.

We hope you will stop by and enjoy our area and return again and again.
